Some great Market Square art. (A picture of a painting of a painting.)

Hit the road, Jack.

All the above-the-clouds glory that is Max Patch.
A little bit more railroad. . .can you tell I love them?

Sneaker.

A FIYAH lizard scrambling around Max Patch, NC. Not sure what kind it actually is but I enjoy saying "FIYAH lizard!"

Insomnia and Mutant Dandelions

I used to have pretty bad insomnia. Because of that, I get to see things like this:

Also: I found this little freak in my front yard. It was, originally, supposed to be a dandelion. I love it. He still had little fluffers so he got to create more of him, hopefully. Lets just hope his genetic freak out didn't make him barren.

This guy is resilient. He is survival. You see fugly and weird, I see beauty and potential. Welcome to my world.

Portraits

My lovely friend, Afton, let me practice on her!

This is Jess. It was her birthday so she got portraits made as a present for her mother, because, well, ya know. . .she did birth her.

This is one of my favorite pictures that I've taken in awhile. I freaking love it. This sums up Jess quite well.

I'm proud to say that most of these weren't photoshopped much at all except for black-and-white-age. A few required small light adjustments.

Bounce That

I currently have most of my projects divided between two separate computers, so there will be a lot more photos coming soon!! These are some projects I worked on in class this semester using bounce flash.

Obligatory sub-par first picture post.

Summer adventures with my best friend in Provo, UT.

I also really like big honkin' apertures. Why, yes, that is a technical term.

Oh, p.s. I like ducks. Not in like a "my house is full of duck figurines" way. . .but I like them.

Sneaky grasshopper avoiding a bee in my front yard sunflower patch.

My friend and del gato on a lazy day for LDS General Conference.

So, as far as this blog is concerned, I'm going to use it to post photographs that I like, show my skills, or showcase some tricky new technique I'm learning or trying. Not all the photos are going to be great. Some will be downright crappy. But I'm learning, I'm developing, and I'm growing. Bear with me.

Introductions

This is a blog that I've created for my baby photography skills, industry, and portfolio. Patience is key. I just wanted to have something to post to while I'm developing my skills. Get it? ;)

My name is Kelsey and I'm currently studying photography in Tennessee. I would love to become a photojournalist to travel around the world and give people a new perspective on things that they would otherwise never experience. Most of my experience is with film photography but I'm currently learning a lot about digital photography and I have a healthy respect for both. Ta da!

So, if you like my photos, lemme know! If you don't like them, lemme know! If you hate everything about this blog, you should probably just go up to the top of this page/tab or whatever and hit the little 'x' because I don't really want anything to do with you, either.

Lovely.
